Ban Raya Resort and Spa

This club resort is located on a private property set amidst 60 acres of coconut palms and lush tropical gardens. The establishment is situated right beside Kon Kare Bay, which features the best coral reefs on Raya Yai Island. Restaurants can be found within around 2 minutes' walk of the establishment and a range of beaches, including Ter Bay, Lha Bay, Siam Bay and Patok Bay lie within 1 km of the accommodation. This resort is the perfect place to get away from the busy tourist crowds and is also suitable for those who love the peaceful, solitary life. Renovated in 2008, the establishment comprises a total of 48 bungalows. Guests are welcomed into a lobby with a hotel safe, and on-site facilities include a restaurant, WLAN Internet access (fees may apply) and a laundry service. Those wishing to explore the local surroundings can hire bikes from reception. These bungalows are of a high standard and come with an electric fan or air conditioning, as well as a friendly atmosphere. All of the rooms have an en suite bathroom with a shower, plus a mosquito screen and a balcony. Further facilities include double/king-size beds, satellite/cable TV, Internet access, a safe and a mini fridge. None of the rooms are more than 2 minutes' walk from the seafront (Kon Kare Bay). The resort features a free-form outdoor swimming pool, which is located up on the hill next to the Saranta Clubhouse. A children's swimming area is also provided and parasols are available. Relaxation can be found in the hot tub, or guests can pay a fee and make use of the steam room and massage service. The nearby sandy and rocky beach offers diving for a fee, and additional activities include horse riding and biking (fees apply for both). The hotel offers à la carte lunches and dinners, as well as a set menu and buffet lunch. Breakfast is served each morning in the breakfast room.
