DMC Quote is a booking and ticketing platform for attraction, tour and activity operators, and an alternative to FareHarbor for operators whose market is Asia, the Middle East and the wider Asia Pacific region. You get a booking page, real time inventory and capacity, QR e-tickets scanned at the gate, POS, reporting, and distribution to a network of verified travel agencies.

FareHarbor is a strong product with deep roots in North America. If most of your customers are North American consumers booking direct, that strength is real and worth keeping. The case for moving is regional: where your buyers are trade agents in Singapore, Malaysia, India, the UAE and the rest of the region, the network you are plugged into matters more than the feature list.

The regional case for switching

Three things change when your demand comes from Asia Pacific trade rather than North American consumers:

  • Your buyer is an agency, not a traveller. They book in groups, in advance, on net rates, often as one line in a larger package. A consumer direct checkout is not the tool for that.
  • Support has to run in your timezone. A gate problem at 9am in Singapore cannot wait for a US business day.
  • Currency and settlement are regional. Your agents quote in their own currency and settle on trade terms.

DMC Quote operates from Singapore and the agent network is concentrated in exactly these markets. That is the substance of the difference, not a longer feature table.

What you get

2,349 approved agencies, 102 countries

Verified travel agencies already buying inside the portal. Your approved products appear to them, they book at the rates you set, and you are told about every booking.

A flat 2% booking fee

One rate at any volume, plus a one time USD 100 setup fee. No monthly licence fee and no volume bands, so a small operator is not paying the highest rate in the table.

A booking page, built for you

If you have a website we add booking to it. If you do not, we build the page from the photos, descriptions, timings and rates you enter during onboarding, so you are not hiring a web designer before you can sell anything.

Gate operations that hold up

Every booking issues a QR e-ticket. Staff open the scan page on any phone or tablet and the ticket is marked used. One redemption per ticket, so the same code cannot be used twice. POS, capacity management, discounts and promo codes, sales orders and standard reporting are all included rather than sold as modules.

What to check before you switch

Do the comparison properly and ask each vendor, us included, in writing:

  • What is the all in cost at my actual volume, including booking fee, platform fee and payment processing?
  • Who pays the booking fee, me or my customer, and does it appear on the customer's receipt?
  • How many bookings came from the platform network rather than from my own traffic?
  • What are the support hours in my timezone, and is there a channel for a gate emergency?
  • What happens to tickets already issued for future dates if I leave?
  • Can I export my products, rates, and booking history?

Onboarding in four steps

  1. Create your operator account. A one time USD 100 setup fee is taken at registration.
  2. Verify your business by uploading your licence and registration documents.
  3. Add your products through the guided wizard: photos, timings, capacity, rates.
  4. Go live once approved. Nothing is visible to anyone until you say so.

You can keep your existing platform running throughout. There is no requirement to cut over on a date.

What to compare, side by side

Our terms are stated. For the other column, ask your current vendor directly, because pricing and network reach vary by account and by region.

Questions

Before you sign up

Anything not covered here, ask us during onboarding. Nothing is published until you are ready.

Almost always for regional reasons rather than feature reasons: their buyers are Asia Pacific travel agencies rather than North American consumers, and they want to be inside a trade network in that region with support in their own timezone.

A one time setup fee of USD 100, then a flat 2% booking fee on tickets sold. The rate is the same at any volume, there is no monthly licence fee, and everything is confirmed in writing in your operator agreement before you go live. Or choose the Operator bundle for SGD 5,000: your listing plus your own booking website, set up for you, with the first 12 months of its SGD 50 a month subscription included.

For your own direct bookings, no. Payment collection is set up with you during onboarding and you keep your own merchant account. Agent bookings settle on the terms agreed in your operator agreement.

Yes. Most operators list a few products with us, watch the agent bookings arrive, and move the rest when they are ready. Nothing requires a cutover date.

Every booking issues a QR e-ticket. Your staff open the scan page on any phone or tablet, scan the code, and the ticket is marked used. A ticket can only be redeemed once, so the same code cannot be used twice.

Operators who own the experience and control the inventory: attractions, theme parks, zoos and aquariums, museums, water parks, observation decks, day tour and safari companies, activity providers and transfer operators. Travel agents and resellers cannot list.
