DMC Quote is a booking and ticketing platform for attraction, tour and activity operators, and an alternative to Rezdy for operators whose growth comes from travel agents rather than OTA listings. You get a booking page, real time inventory and capacity, QR e-tickets scanned at the gate, and a listing inside a closed B2B portal that travel agencies already buy through.

Rezdy is built around distribution, which is the right instinct. The question worth asking is which distribution. Pushing availability to consumer OTAs and pushing it to a network of trade buyers are different channels with different economics, different margins and different customers. This page is about the second one.

OTA distribution and agent distribution are not the same channel

An OTA listing puts you in front of consumers who are comparing you against everything else on the page, usually on price. A travel agent is buying on behalf of a client who has already chosen to travel, often as part of a package, and is far less price sensitive on any single ticket.

  • Volume shape. Agents book in groups and in advance. OTA bookings skew to individuals and to short lead times.
  • Rate control. Agents book at the net rates you set for the trade. You are not publishing a public price that undercuts your own gate.
  • Relationship. An agency that sells your experience once and has it go well will sell it again all season. That does not happen with an anonymous OTA booking.

If your business is mostly walk up and consumer direct, an OTA channel manager is probably the better fit and we would say so. If you want trade volume, that is what this network is.

What you get with DMC Quote

A closed B2B network, already buying

2,349 approved travel agencies across 102 countries. They are verified before they can book, they book at your rates, and you are told about every booking. You are not waiting for a network to be built around you.

Flat 2%, no volume bands

A one time USD 100 setup fee and a flat 2% booking fee on tickets sold. No monthly licence fee. Your cost per ticket does not move as you grow, so you can price a season before you have the season's data.

Your booking page, built for you

If you already have a site we add booking to it. If you do not, we build the page from the photos, timings, capacity and rates you supply during onboarding.

Ticketing that works at the gate

Every booking issues a QR e-ticket. Your staff open the scan page on any phone or tablet and the ticket is marked used. A ticket can only be redeemed once, so the same code cannot be walked through twice.

What to check before you switch

Ask every vendor on your shortlist, us included, the same set of questions in writing:

  • What is the all in cost at my real volume, including booking fee, any platform fee and payment processing?
  • How many bookings actually came from the network rather than from traffic I already had?
  • Who are the buyers? Consumer OTAs, trade agents, or both, and in which regions?
  • Do I keep rate control per channel, so a trade rate never leaks to a public page?
  • What happens to tickets already sold for future dates if I leave?
  • Can I export products, rates and bookings on the way out?

Running both while you decide

There is no requirement to switch anything off. List a small number of products with us, keep your existing channels running, and compare the bookings that come through over a season. Onboarding is four steps: create your operator account, verify your business, add products through the wizard, then go live when your products are approved. Nothing is visible until you say so.

What to compare, side by side

Our column is filled in. The second column is the question to put to your current vendor, because their terms vary by account and region and we will not state them on their behalf.

Questions

Before you sign up

Anything not covered here, ask us during onboarding. Nothing is published until you are ready.

Not in the OTA sense. We are a booking and ticketing system with distribution into a closed network of approved travel agencies. If your priority is pushing availability to consumer OTAs, a dedicated channel manager is the better tool and we will tell you so.

A one time setup fee of USD 100, then a flat 2% booking fee on tickets sold. The rate is the same at any volume, there is no monthly licence fee, and everything is confirmed in writing in your operator agreement before you go live. Or choose the Operator bundle for SGD 5,000: your listing plus your own booking website, set up for you, with the first 12 months of its SGD 50 a month subscription included.

No. You set the rate agents book at, and it is a trade rate inside a closed portal rather than a public listing. Agents are verified before they can see or book anything.

Yes. Most operators list a few products first, watch what the agent network does with them, and move the rest once they are comfortable.

Once your products are approved they appear to approved travel agents inside the DMC Quote portal. There are currently 2,349 approved agencies across 102 countries. Agents book at the rates you set, and you are told about every booking.

Operators who own the experience and control the inventory: attractions, theme parks, museums, water parks, observation decks, day tour and safari companies, activity providers and transfer operators. Travel agents and resellers cannot list.
