What Your Clients Need to Know

The Route Itself

From Dubai International Airport (DXB), the route heads west onto Sheikh Zayed Road - Dubai's main artery. This is where your clients get their first proper look at modern Dubai: those glass-and-steel towers lining both sides, the metro running down the middle, and enough Lamborghinis per square meter to make Monaco jealous.

The drive continues past Dubai Marina, then exits onto Al Sufouh Road toward Palm Jumeirah. Here's where it gets interesting - the underwater tunnel. Yes, underwater. The Palm Jumeirah Tunnel runs beneath the entrance to the Palm, and there's that brief moment of "we're driving under the sea" that first-timers always mention. It's a 6-lane tunnel, well-lit, perfectly safe, but still creates a sense of arrival.

Once on the Palm itself, the road depends on which hotel or frond your clients are staying at. Atlantis is at the tip (furthest point), while properties like Waldorf Astoria and Jumeirah Zabeel Saray are on the crescent. Villa communities are spread along the 16 fronds. The Palm is much bigger than it looks in photos - that's why exact addresses matter.

Traffic patterns: Sheikh Zayed Road gets congested during morning rush (7-9am) and evening peak (5-8pm). Weekends are generally smoother. Friday morning is the sweet spot - many residents are at Friday prayers, and roads are unusually clear.

Airport Pickup at DXB

Dubai International has three terminals - Terminal 1 (various airlines), Terminal 2 (flydubai and regional carriers), and Terminal 3 (Emirates exclusively). Each has its own arrivals hall, and they're not walking distance from each other.

Terminal Typical Airlines Pickup Location
T1 BA, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines Arrivals Hall, Gate 4
T2 flydubai, Air India Express Arrivals Hall, Main Exit
T3 Emirates (all flights) Arrivals Hall, Gate 1 or 5
Pro tip: T3 is massive - one of the world's largest terminals exclusively for one airline. Immigration can take 30-60 minutes during peak landing times (morning arrivals from Asia/Australia). We factor in 90-minute waiting time for international arrivals.

Drivers meet clients at the designated arrivals meeting point with name boards. DXB has free WiFi, but cellular service is sometimes patchy in certain terminal areas. Screenshot driver details before landing.

Palm Jumeirah Drop-off

The Palm has several distinct areas, and knowing which one your clients are staying in helps set accurate expectations:

  • The Crescent (outer arc): Atlantis The Palm, Anantara, Rixos. These are at the furthest point - add 5-10 minutes to journey time.
  • East Crescent: Waldorf Astoria, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. Slightly closer, first exits after the tunnel.
  • Trunk (main boulevard): Hotels like Dukes The Palm, Kempinski. Most direct access from tunnel.
  • Fronds (residential areas): Private villas and some serviced apartments. Security checkpoints at each frond entrance.

Most major hotels have dedicated drop-off areas with porters ready to assist. Private villas may require security gate clearance - having the villa number and owner contact details speeds this up.

What's Included in Our Rates

  • Meet & greet at arrivals - Driver waits at the designated meeting point with a professional name board. Helps with luggage to the vehicle.
  • Flight monitoring - We track all incoming flights and adjust pickup times automatically. Delays are handled seamlessly.
  • 90-minute waiting time - International arrivals get 90 minutes from touchdown. Domestic flights get 45 minutes. Covers immigration and baggage claim.
  • All Salik toll charges - The route passes through 2 Salik gates (AED 8 total). This is already included in the quoted rate. No extra charges.
  • Bottled water - Complimentary cold water in the vehicle. Standard but appreciated in Dubai's heat.

Questions We Get Asked All The Time

Salik is Dubai's electronic toll system - AED 4 per gate. The airport to Palm Jumeirah route passes through 2 gates (total AED 8). Yes, this is genuinely included in our quoted rates. Some taxi drivers charge it separately at the end, which catches tourists off guard. Our price is all-in, no surprises.

No extra charge for Atlantis or any other hotel on the Palm. The rate is the same whether they're at the trunk entrance or all the way out at the crescent. Atlantis is the furthest point, so journey time is at the upper end (35-40 minutes), but pricing doesn't change based on hotel location.

Absolutely - luxury vehicles are available on request. Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series, and similar premium sedans run around AED 300-350. Luxury SUVs (Range Rover, Mercedes GLS) start at AED 400. Just specify when booking. Popular for VIP clients and special occasions.

RTA taxis from DXB to Palm Jumeirah run AED 100-140 on the meter, plus AED 8 in Salik tolls, plus a possible AED 25 airport surcharge depending on time of day. You're looking at AED 130-175 total - not dramatically different from our AED 180 private car. Our rate includes meet & greet, flight tracking, and guaranteed service. No queuing, no meter anxiety.

Mention it when booking and we'll assign an appropriate vehicle. Standard sedans handle 2-3 large suitcases comfortably. Golf clubs, diving gear, or baby strollers usually require an SUV or van. There's no extra charge for equipment, but we need to know in advance to allocate the right vehicle size.
