What Your Clients Need to Know

The Journey to Island Paradise

Right, so here's what happens. From Changi, drivers take the East Coast Parkway (ECP) heading west - same route as most airport transfers. The difference? Instead of turning into the city, we stay coastal and head toward VivoCity. On a clear morning, your clients get glimpses of cargo ships and the occasional yacht. Not spectacular, but pleasant enough.

The route crosses Keppel Harbour on a bridge, then drivers take the Sentosa Gateway - the main vehicle entrance to the island. There's a gantry toll here (SGD 6 during peak hours, SGD 2 off-peak), but all our rates include this, so no surprises at billing time.

Once on the island, journey time depends on the hotel. Resorts near the entrance (Festive Hotel, Village Hotel) are 5 minutes in. Properties on the western shore - W Singapore, Equarius Hotel, Capella - add another 8-10 minutes winding through the island roads. The speed limit's low here (40 km/h max), so it feels slower than highway driving, but the palm trees and beach views make up for it.

Traffic considerations? Morning rush hour (7-9am) affects the mainland portion. Evening peak (5:30-7:30pm) is worse if you're heading against commuter flow, but airport arrivals rarely hit this window. Weekends are busier on Sentosa itself - Universal Studios crowds and beach-goers - but it only adds 5-10 minutes max.

Sentosa Entry Gates & Hotel Access

Sentosa has three entry points for vehicles, but here's the thing - private transfers use Sentosa Gateway exclusively. It's the main vehicular entrance, and honestly, the only one that makes sense for airport pickups.

The other two options (Resorts World Basement and Beach Station) are for residents or involve circuitous routes. Your clients don't need to worry about any of this - drivers know the drill.

Resort/Hotel Location on Island Drive Time from Gate
Festive Hotel, Village Hotel Near entrance, Resorts World 3-5 minutes
Hard Rock Hotel Resorts World complex 5-7 minutes
W Singapore Sentosa Western shore, near beach clubs 10-12 minutes
Equarius Hotel, Capella Western tip, most secluded 12-15 minutes
Good to know: The SGD 6 island admission fee applies Monday-Friday 7am-7pm. Outside these hours, it drops to SGD 2. Weekends and public holidays are SGD 6 all day. All our rates factor in the highest charge, so you're covered either way.

Terminal Pickup Points

Same Changi pickup process as any airport transfer. Drivers meet at the arrivals hall of your client's terminal with a name board. Flight tracking is automatic, so delays get handled without your clients needing to call anyone.

Terminal Typical Airlines Pickup Location
T1 JAL, ANA, Qantas, Air India Arrival Hall, Door 3
T2 Emirates, Qatar, Etihad, BA Arrival Hall, Door 1
T3 Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa Arrival Hall, Door 4
T4 Scoot, AirAsia, Cebu Pacific Arrival Hall, Door 2

What's Included in Our Rates

  • Meet & greet service - Professional driver with printed name board at arrivals. No hunting through crowds of taxi touts.
  • Flight monitoring - We track incoming flights. Early arrival? Driver adjusts. Delayed 2 hours? Driver still there. No panic calls needed.
  • 60-minute waiting time - Covers immigration, baggage claim, and the inevitable toilet stop. International arrivals get 60 mins, domestic get 30.
  • Sentosa island admission - That SGD 6 entry gantry fee? Already included. One less thing to explain to clients.
  • Luggage assistance - Driver helps load and unload bags. Basic courtesy, but worth confirming.
  • All tolls and parking - ERP charges, parking at airport, island entry - everything's baked into the rate you see.

Questions We Get Asked All The Time

Sure, but here's what we usually tell agents: there's a FairPrice supermarket on Sentosa itself at VivoCity (technically before you cross to the island), and most resorts have convenience stores. That said, if your clients want to grab supplies, a 10-minute stop at a mainland supermarket is fine - just mention it during booking. No additional charge for one quick stop, but the meter doesn't pause, so factor in 15-20 extra minutes total.

Technically yes - you save about SGD 6-8 on the island entry fee. But honestly? After a long flight, making clients lug suitcases through VivoCity mall, up escalators, onto a monorail, then potentially another shuttle bus to their hotel? It's not worth the savings. Families with kids especially appreciate direct-to-door service. The only exception is solo budget travelers staying near Resorts World - for them, VivoCity drop-off + monorail makes sense.

Yes, up to the allocated waiting time (60 minutes for international, 30 for domestic). If immigration queues are crazy and go beyond that, drivers stay - we just charge SGD 15 per 30 minutes extra. Flight tracking helps avoid this since we know actual arrival times, but sometimes Changi has 6 flights land simultaneously and the queues get wild. We've never abandoned a client at the airport; we just invoice for genuine extra waiting when it happens.

Absolutely - required by Singapore law for kids under 1.35m tall. We stock infant carriers (newborn-12 months), convertible seats (1-4 years), and booster seats (4-12 years). There's a SGD 10 charge per seat, which covers cleaning and installation time. Just specify ages and weights during booking. SIC shuttles can't accommodate child seats, so families with little ones need private transfers - sedan works for one child seat, but two or more requires the MPV.

Capella guests usually do travel heavy - luxury resort, extended stays, you know the drill. A standard sedan comfortably handles 2 large suitcases plus carry-ons for up to 3 guests. Anything beyond that, go with the MPV. It swallows 5-6 large bags no problem. When in doubt, just tell us the bag count and passenger count - we'd rather suggest the right vehicle upfront than have an awkward "sorry, this won't fit" moment at airport pickup.
